Marie-Andrée’s good taste and talent was used to decorate all rooms of Château de la Motte. All bedrooms are different, and each one has its unique charm. Dimensions extend from the small and pretty medieval room in the round tower to the sumptuous suite named Ysabeau de Poitiers. All rooms are equipped with all the necessary features for privacy, quality and comfort, from bathroom to bedding. Additional beds include period furniture from the 19th century. Two cots are available for toddlers, free of charge.

Arrival & Departure time: preferably after 4 p.m. in order to ascertain we are fully available. Rooms should be made available for cleaning at 11 a.m. latest. However, you can stay over in the sitting room/Salon or take advantage of gardens.
Getting to your rooms: the Chateau has been build into several floors spaced with high ceiling rooms. To reach your room you will have to climb stone winding staircases 2 to 3 storeys up. Meanwhile, staircases are wide and steps are not worn out. However, you should be fit and provided with light luggage.
Comfort: the whole Chateau is non smoking, inclusive of hallways. We cannot accept pets in the whole property. All our rooms are provided with private bathrooms and toilets. Main bedding is meeting high standards for comfort and quality, while being decorated as antique. Secondary beds are period furniture.
Payment: You can pay with € cash, Visa and MasterCard CC, Traveller Cheques or french Euro cheques. During high season we may require a deposit. Wiring from bank to bank is feasible. However, so far, we found PayPal convenient and with a reasonable commission fee.
The castle is strictly non-smoking. We will be pleased to provide you with an ash tray to permit you smoking on the high-court/hanging garden, located at the level of the living room/salon/dining-room.
Our pet friends are not invited into the castle!

Charming little geometric room located in the round keep. 15th century ambiance with a period fireplace, terracotta floor tiling, a stone bench and coloured beams. This room faces South with a pleasant view on the countryside and the nearby village down below.

In the main bedroom :
The « petit salon », located between the main bedroom and the bathroom, is provided with an antique bed suitable for a medium height adult.
The small bathroom is located in the small square tower. Its window overlooking the gardens brings plenty of daylight. Toilets are also located there.
The Knight's Room

Impressive room at the top of the castle. The arrow slits are a reminder that this place was a medieval fortress. This room has been entirely decorated by Marie-Andrée and Jean-Marie.
